You can help

Volunteers with any range of skills can make a huge difference! The only prerequisite to volunteer for OJPC is a desire to change the criminal-legal system for the better.

We’re looking for volunteers with a range of backgrounds, competencies and interests. Here are just a few things we’re actively looking for:

  • Administrative Support (no legal or paralegal experience needed): provide support to a specific staff member or project
  • Volunteer coordinator: interview, schedule and maintain records for our growing volunteer base. Great opportunity for someone with HR or hiring experience!
  • Newsletter editor: design, maintain and write a regular newsletter for OJPC
  • Welcome Home coordinator: assist individuals recently released from prison to determine their needs and find solutions (clothes, phone, driver’s license, Metro card, etc.)

If you want to volunteer with OJPC, please sign in or create a new account with Better Impact, and fill out OJPC’s volunteer application at this link.
