Jorge received his LLB in Law with a certificate in International Law from Universidad Privada Boliviana in Cochabamba, Bolivia and his LLM in International and Comparative Law from Tulane University Law School. After graduating from Tulane, Jorge volunteered with the Wage Claim Clinic in New Orleans helping workers in the immigrant community to recover unpaid wages. Jorge joined the OJPC in 2012 and his work has focused on the impact that discrimination and racial profiling in the criminal justice system has on the minority population. Today, he is an attorney working on OJPC’s newest and rapidly-growing over-sentencing project, Beyond Guilt.
