Mara joined OJPC in 2019 as a Richardson Public Service Fellow. She now works as a paralegal with the Beyond Guilt program. Mara is committed to fighting for a just and equitable society, with laws and systems that uphold the inherent dignity of all people. Mara graduated from Harvard University in May 2019 with a joint bachelor’s degree in Social Studies and African American Studies. Previously, Mara worked as a Liman Public Interest Law Summer Fellow at ArchCity Defenders in St. Louis, MO, where she conducted research on the private probation system, and assisted attorneys with cases and political advocacy related to the rights of incarcerated individuals.
