Ohio Justice & Policy Center

The Ohio Justice & Policy Center has closed its office to walk-ins and has asked all staff to work from home for the rest of the month due to concerns over COVID-19 and guidelines set forth by city and state officials.

All free legal clinics in March are also canceled, but you can see our April/May/June clinic schedule here.

But we’re still dedicated to helping our clients in need of free legal help, assistance with a criminal record, or concerns about prison and jail conditions.

Here’s how you can still get in contact with us:

1. Email contact@ohiojpc.org, secondchance@ohiojpcorg or beyondguilt@ohiojpc.org, or any staff member you’re trying to reach.
2. You can still call our office and leave a voicemail message — our phone system is accessible remotely, so we can listen to messages from home. Our main line is 513-421-1108, and you can listen to the directory listing if you need a specific staffer.
3. If you have other questions or concerns about coronavirus — maybe on behalf of a loved one who is incarcerated — here are some resources and answers from ODRC: https://www.drc.ohio.gov/Family/COVID-19-UPDATES

We know this is an uncertain time, but we want to make sure our clients and supporters know that we’re still as dedicated to our mission as ever, including the mission of fighting for humane conditions and appropriate responses within the criminal legal system amidst this pandemic.
